ATG Tape (PennyWiseArts.com)
Glue Dots (Zots)
Silhouette digital craft cutter (QuicKutz)
Perfect Layers (QVC)
Stampin’ Dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!)
Craft blade (X-Acto)

Instructions:

1.      Using Creamy Caramel craft ink, rub ink onto the outer edges of the canvas. Leave the center area without ink as it will be covered with decorative paper. Allow to dry thoroughly.

2.      Apply Basic Brown ink directly over previously inked and colored areas to enhance the color.  Allow to dry thoroughly.

3.      Using Jet Black Archival ink, randomly stamp images and words over the colored area.  Using Basic Brown ink, add more images to achieve a collage look.  Refer to photo.

4.      Crop photos as desired and mount onto Bamboo/tan cardstock.  Using the 1/16” edge of the Perfect Layers system, cut a Bamboo/tan matte.  Adhere the mounted photos onto black cardstock and trim the same way. Set aside.

5.      Trim a piece of striped backgrounds & texture paper approximately 6” x 6”.  Trim a piece of map backgrounds & texture paper 2” x 12”; sponge brown distress ink on all edges.

6.      Refer to photo: Adhere striped paper approximately ˝” from the upper and left-hand edges of the canvas.  Adhere the strip of map paper approximately 1˝” from the upper edge and 3” from the left-hand edge of the canvas atop the striped paper wrapping around the right-hand side of the canvas.  Trim approximately 1” from back edge and adhere end.  Adhere the remaining map paper 1ľ” from the lower edge of the canvas, wrapping around the left-hand side and onto the back as before.  If desired, using Jet Black Archival ink and stamp words directly onto a few photos.

7.      “Audition” the matted photos where they look best on the prepared canvas and adhere some directly to the surface. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals as a 3D effect for others.

8.      Using Black cardstock and the Silhouette, cut a heart shape 3˝” x 2 5/8”.  Using Rose Red cardstock, cut the same shape slightly smaller.  Using Bamboo/tan cardstock, cut another heart shape slightly smaller than the Red heart.  Adhere the Red onto the Black and set aside.

9.      Using various sentiment and word stamps, ink words with brown & red markers.  Stamp onto the Bamboo/tan heart to create a custom sentiment.  Sponge the heart edge with brown distressing ink.  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, mount at an angle to the center of the canvas.

10.  Using Glue Dots, adhere brass charms and buttons as desired.
