Instructions:

1.      Using the cream colored card stock, create 4 library pockets using the template from Mirkwood Designs. For this project, the pattern was slightly modified, the pocket area is 2½" and the tops are 3¾" for an overall length of 6¼. The width of the pocket is 3½. Working in pairs, apply glue to the back of the top of one pocket. Lay the glue side down onto the top of another pocket so that it meets the edge of the actual pocket opening and adhere. Repeat this step with the remaining pockets.

2.      Position one of your newly created pages, pockets side down, onto a flat surface and apply a light coating of glue around the edges. Lay the remaining pocket page, pocket side up, onto the glue and position so that the edges match up neatly. At this point you will have one two-sided page with exposed pockets.  Fold this in half once dried.

3.      Using the light blue ink pad from the queue, swirl the ink directly onto both sides of the pocket page. Repeat once more with the darker shade of blue. Randomly stamp the tooth image in the light purple from the queue onto both sides of the page. For this project, the stamp was only re-inked after three stampings. Using the darker blue ink, distress the edges of both sides of the page.

4.      Stamp the "Believe" and "Imagine" images in lightening black ink directly onto two of the pockets. Stamp the floating fairy, "Fairy Dust" text, and the tooth (x2) image onto white card stock and neatly trim out. Distress the edges of the "Fairy Dust" image with the darker blue ink from the queue.  Separate the two words and adhere. Color the floating fairy in with pink and purple chalks and attach to the page with the glue dots.

5.      Attach the tacky tape to the front side of the tooth images. Trim the excess glue sheet away and lay the tooth images down into a coffee filter. Remove the remaining backing from the tape and pour the microbeads onto the tape. Press the microbeads into the tape firmly making sure the images are coated completely. Remove the images from the filter, fold the filter up carefully so that the beads fall to the center, and funnel the leftovers back into the original container. Adhere one tooth image onto the first page of the book.

6.      To create the cover, cut a strip of blue card stock 3¾" x 9½", cut another strip of the card stock 1½" x 3¾" for the spine. Fold the cover in half so that it measures 3¾" x 4¾" and the spine so that it measures ¾" x 3¾" with the coordinating color on the outside. Using the paper trimmer, mark three holes on the spine cover at 1" from both the top and bottom edges and another mark in the middle so that they are evenly spaced. Stamp the fairy and phrase images on the cover.

7.      Position the spine cover onto the book cover. Center and glue the front of the spine cover down to the front of the book cover. Slip the pocket pages inside the book cover and center it in place. While holding the book securely, punch holes where the markings are on the spine with the Crop-a-Dile. Position the brads into the holes on the front of the book and open the posts on the back side. Glue the spine to the back of the book covering the brad posts. Attach the remaining tooth image to the cover with glue.

8.      To create the inserts, cut the remaining blue card stock into 3" x 3½" cards and edge with the gold paint pen. On a piece of white card stock, add journaling and edge the paper with the gold paint pen. Trim the photos to fit the inserts and edge each one with the gold paint pen. Attach the photos and journaling to the inserts.
