Altered Clipboard: Photo Frame By
Karen Gibson
Instructions: 1. Place the back of the clipboard onto the back of the Washi paper and trace around it. Cut a small piece out to allow the paper to go around the clip part of the board. 2. Stamp half of the paper using Bamboo stamp and green ink. 3. Coat clipboard with Mod Podge using a foam brush; hold the clip up so you don’t get any glue on it. 4. Lay the stamped Washi paper on the board, press down firmly, and smooth out. Let dry. 5. Turn the clipboard over so the paper is facing down on the table. Use a craft knife to trim paper around the clipboard. This will enable the paper to lie smooth and neat. 6. Mount photo on black cardstock using Scotch Double Stick Tape. Stamp corner image on vanilla cardstock using Real Red ink. Cut out the corner, add the square brad, and mount to corner of photo using pop dots. 7. Cut a strip of patterned Washi paper. Ink the Asian word with Jet Black ink and stamp three times down the side of the Washi paper and adhere it onto the dried clipboard. Refer to photo for placement. 8. Apply adhesive on the back of the mounted photo and adhere to the board. Slide the photo under the clip. 9. Add fibers and beads to the clip.
