By Cindi Bisson
Hot Rod Scrampers
Advanced Scramping Team Designer

Meow!  An old CD, Makin’s Clay, and a few other items
are all that are needed to create a fun, whimsical frame
to match any theme or décor!

Supplies:
CD
Makin’s No-Bake Polymer Clay – Natural color
Rubber stamps (Fat Cats designed by Cindi Bisson for The Stamping Studio)
Krylon Make it Suede spray paint
Decorative cat brads & fuzzy cat embellishment (Creative Charms)
Decorator Chalks
Ribbon
Photo of choice

Instructions:

1.        Print photo of choice to fit onto CD – remember to take measurement of the frame opening you wish to create into acccount when printing the photo.

2.        Open package of Natural Makin’s Clay and roll into a “tube.” Press “tube” of clay around outside edge of photo on CD.  The clay will stick to the CD without additional adhesive.

3.        Gently flatten top of “tube” to create your frame border.

4.        Use un-inked rubber stamps and press images into the wet clay.

5.        Add decorative brads while clay is wet.

6.        Allow clay to dry according to package directions (approximately 24 hours).

7.        Spray with Make it Suede paint.  Let dry.

8.        Gently rub darker shade of chalk over the painted frame to help stamped images “pop” out.

9.        Add decorative ribbon (use a thin knife to gently lift clay from CD to wrap ribbon around edge.  Use a strong adhesive to attach a hanging loop of ribbon.

Mount fuzzy cat embellishment where desired.
