1. Cut the Black Cardstock into 4 equal pieces of 4.25” x 5.50”. Put three of the pieces aside for use on another project. 2. Using the eggplant inkpad apply ink-direct to paper- on the upper left corner and across the top of the black cardstock. Making sure that the ink is very moist. Quickly add the clear embossing powder to the ink and heat emboss. Allow to cool. Use the Gold inkpad and repeat the same process as the eggplant ink on the rest of the black cardstock. While the embossing powder is still warm add some of the gold embossing powder to the middle and lower right had side of the cardstock and heat emboss. Set aside to cool. 3. Using the Pixie and butterfly stamp, ink with the black ink, stamp on the white cardstock and cover with clear embossing powder and emboss. Stamp an additional 6 butterflies (only) with the black ink and emboss with clear powder. Once all the stamped images are cool, cut out. Using the watercolor palettes paint the Pixie using a stellar green for the pants, shoes and the hat. The shirt is painted with deep space black and then painted over with the nova white. Use the vanilla marker color in the face arms and legs of the Pixie. Use the orange marker to color the hair and place a dot of orange on the cheek. The 3-D Crystal lacquer is used to glue on the mauve metallic beads to the hat and the shirt. Set aside to dry. 4. Each butterfly is painted in its own colors in somewhat of a rainbow effect. Starting with the watercolor palettes paint the butterfly the Pixie is holding in a purple color with a blue body and feelers. See photo to view the colors of the butterflies ending with a completely gold one. 5. The gold butterfly is now ready to be decorated. Use the Crystal lacquer on the spots on the butterfly then add the red metallic beads and set aside to dry. Shape the copper wire into feelers for the gold butterfly and curl the ends. (Cut off the feelers that have been stamped on this one.) Then use about 4 inches of the copper wire to shape tailpieces of the butterfly. Bend the 4-inch piece in half and add a red tubular bead to each end. Turn a loop in the end of the wire below the bead so that is does not fall off. Use the E6000 to glue the wire to the gold butterfly. 6. Adhere the Pixie to the black cardstock. See photo for position. Do not totally glue the wings of the butterfly down. Then add the next 5 butterflies in order of color to the cardstock on top of the previous one. Do not glue the wings down, only the bodies. Press the wings upward. Stamp and emboss the words Butterfly Wishes with gold embossing powder on black cardstock. Glue the words to the card over the Pixie’s legs. Now add the gold butterfly using a Zot to the cardstock and the words. The placement of the butterflies should appear to be the sweeping hand of the Pixie changing the colors as he goes. 7. Cut a piece of 8.5 x 11 inch white cardstock into two pieces measuring 4.25 x 11. Fold one piece in half to equal the size of 4.25 x 5.5. Glue the black decorated cardstock to the front of the card. Then add the rainbow ribbon and tie a bow.
