Other Supplies:

  • Small Cluster of Dots (B&J’s Art Stamps)
  • Large Cluster of dots (B&J’s Art Stamps)
  • Ten Dot ‘Stick’ (Stamps by Judith)
  • Markers (Tombow ABT)
  • Magenta, Orange, Cherry, Violet, Ochre, Bottle Green, Turquoise, Black Ink Pads (Marvy Matchables)
  • Black Archival Ink (Memories)
  • White card stock for card fronts: cut to quarter sheet size 4¼”x5½”
  • Assorted colors of cardstock for folded cards

Instructions:

  1. One 8½”x11” sheet of cardstock yields 4 quarter pieces.  Pre-cut the card front pieces to 4¼”x5½” and pre-trim these to 4”x5¼” pieces.

  1. Stamp your image on white cardstock with Archival ink.

  1. Choose the two colors of markers you want to use and start with the lighter one.

  1. Completely color in the desired area with the lighter color.

  1. Touch the tip of the lighter color to the darker color and start working in the shaded area to your liking. When you’ve achieved the desired effect, simply wipe the tip of your marker onto a paper towel or piece of scrap cardstock. I always use just two colors per area.

  1. The vase of roses and the three little vases are colored directly onto the stamps. Huff onto the stamp with your breath and impress the image to the paper. Now come back with the lighter or darker color and shade the images.

  1. When finished coloring, use a coordinating color stamp pad and stamp your dots in any desired pattern on the card front. The final touch is to put shadows around the images. Use N089 Tombow light Gray marker to draw the shadows around the images.

  1. Stamp your saying and your card front is complete.

  1. Attach the card front to any coordinating half sheet of cardstock cut to size 5½”x8½” that has been folded in half.
