Powdered Keg Embossing Powders

By Elizabeth Lee McAndrew

There are specific criteria important to meet the consumer’s needs when deciding on a selection of embossing powders. Beyond the scope of looking pretty, a good quality embossing powder must contain certain characteristics. This includes having fine powder free of clumps and the ability to stay attached to the surface it is applied to once it is melted with a heat tool. In addition, the ability to easily remove excess powder off a project is a real benefit. Another bonus is being able to do one stop shopping with a single company that offers a wide variety of colors and blends. Do stir any embossing powder prior to use to re-mix the colors for even distribution. The weight of some elements in the blends tends to settle with any brand.

As an avid user of embossing powders, I have found that Powder Keg embossing powders meet all the quality standards necessary to present my art work on a professional level. The fine powder produces crisp lines with durability, and clumping is virtually non-existent. I can be certain that any artwork I create with this line of embossing powders will not deteriorate over time. Since the majority of my projects are art décor items, the longevity factor of my art pieces is highly important. Also, I have found that the powder particles whisk away much easier than other brands. This minimizes those pesky, unwelcome specks of embossing powder! Usually, I am taking great pains to remove surplus specks with other brands. The selection of colors and blends to choose from in the Powdered Keg line is superior and offers everything a crafter needs. The line is continually expanding and now boasts over 50 luscious colors and blends. A consumer can even experiment with the colors offered and create more possibilities. Simply combine existing colors and see what materializes!
