JoAnne Hoffman

When I retired decided that the 'ole rocking chair was not going to get me. I took a stamping class in Australia but did nothing with it for about a year. Then I found a stamp store--I was hooked! I volunteered at that shop for a year and learned an awful lot, then I became a demonstrator and am still going strong after ?? years.  I also teach stamping and scrapping on cruises. I have done 5 classes for cruises so far, and have contracts signed for 2 more next year. I am an Authorized Dealer for Bind It All and Dreamkutz machines.

It is with deep regret and sadness that we share the passing of a team designer here on Rubber Road Adventures.   JoAnne Hoffman was part of the Beginner’s Scrapbook Team and will be sorely missed!

 A Eulogy to
JoAnne Louella Hoffman

(March 13, 1935 - October 18, 2008)

JoAnne L. (Kohnke) Hoffman was born March 13, 1935 to Frederick and Catherine Kohnke and went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 18, 2008. She was one of 17 children and was raised on the north side of Chicago, IL.  Later on, she lived in New Jersey and Florida as well, yet her final home was in Schertz, TX.  Throughout her life, JoAnne was an active Methodist church member involved in numerous projects, functions, and missions.  She retired from Civil Service with the Air Force Mortuary Service in March 1995.  She was, also, an avid enthusiast of rubber stamping, scrapbooking, and other paper arts. JoAnne loved to travel and served as guest instructor aboard several cruise ships teaching rubber stamped greeting cards and scrapbook projects to passengers. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ed Hoffman, four children, Susan Stacken of Chicago, IL, Ron Donner & wife, Barbara of Parker, CO, Amy Hintosh of Centreville, VA and Neal Hagen of Florida; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Bracken United Methodist Church in Garden Ridge, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
