Collage Journal Cover
1. Distress one sheet of the white card stock with the distress ink. With the inked side down on a flat surface, lay the sketchbook on top and trace around the edges. Trim along the traced line and set aside. 2. Distress the mulberry paper with the dark brown ink. Tear a corner of the printed collage paper off at an angle 6" in length on both edges and attach with Mod Podge to the mulberry paper. Set aside. 3. Tear the blank white card stock into a 5.5" X 5.5" piece and stamp the lady image in blue in the upper left corner. Without cleaning, ink with the red ink and stamp once more on the upper right corner. After cleaning the stamp, apply the red ink and stamp directly below the blue image. While the stamp is still damp with red ink, apply the blue ink once more and stamp in the remaining corner. 4. Tear the square in half, from top to bottom. Distress the images with the Yellow Cadmium and Dark Brown ink pads. 5. Using Mod Podge assemble the cover by attaching the red and blue paper scraps to the backs of the torn image strips at an angle and then attach the images to the mulberry paper. Place the dome stickers randomly and attach a small piece of cork in the bottom right corner at an angle. 6. Using zots, attach the mulberry flowers. Cut a zot into small pieces for the flower centers, attach and coat with Faerie Glass. 7. To create the drop pendant, cut a piece of black wire 12" long, fold in half and thread the focal bead on pulling it to the fold. Twist and loop the wire around the round pliers tip, add beads, twist and loop once more. Repeat this step on the other wire strand, alternating between strands using the same beads to keeping the sides even. Using the craft knife poke a small hole into the paper and using a small piece of the black wire, wire the pendant to the paper. 8. Attach the photo turn and charm with brads from the embellishment and bead pack to the collage. 9. Center the mulberry paper on top of the distressed card stock and glue with Mod Podge. 10. Attach the collage to the cover of the journal with Mod Podge, and finish the spine by attaching the ribbon with Mod Podge.
