By: Nancy Leimer

These lovely flowers gave me inspiration to seek and oriental design in this creation.  See for yourself and feel the flowers as their pointed petals and the thought of their sweet fragrance send you on an oriental trip.

Supplies:
Flower Stamp (Rubber Inspirations)
Desert Sand Stamp Pad (CTMH)
Moonstruck Stamp Pad (CTMH)
Black Stamp Pad (Staz On)
White Cardstock- 8 1/2 x 11
Black & White Cardstock (Crate Paper) size 5½" x 4¼"
Black Cardstock (CTMH) size 3¼" x 4"
Vellum (CTMH) Small torn piece

Raspberry Marker (CTMH)
Green Markers 158 & 098 (Tombow)
Black Marker (Tombow)
Waterbrush (CTMH)
Diamond Glaze (Judikins)
Paper Cutter-(Fiskars)
Glue-(Zig)
Sponge-(CTMH)
Scissors (Fiskars)
Black Fiber Ribbon (Unknown)
Gold Crochet Thread (Unknown)

Instructions
:

1.      Cut the white cardstock into two pieces each measuring 8½” x 5½”.  Fold one of the pieces in half to equal size 5½” x 4¼”.  Cut the remaining piece to have one piece the size of 2¼” x 3” inches.

2.      Cut a piece of the black & white cardstock to equal 5½” x 4¼”. Glue this piece of cardstock to the front of the folded white cardstock and lay aside.

3.      Stamp the flowers on the small piece of the white cardstock using the Staz-On stamp pad.  Allow to dry.  With the brown stamp pad ink the sponge and begin adding color to the stamped piece of white cardstock.  Add more of the brown color to the outside of the paper and ink lightly over the stamped image.  Drag the stamped cardstock on the edges across the brown stamp pad to add a color along the edges only.

4.      Sponge the raspberry ink in a straight line on the left side of the stamped cardstock.  See image for position.  Using the moonstruck stamp pad add blue over the raspberry ink. Add a small amount of the blue ink over the stamped flowers.

5.      Use the raspberry marker to color about ¾ of each petal of the stamped flowers.  See photo. Fill the water brush with water. The raspberry marker will now be used with the water brush to finish coloring in the petals, lightly.  Refer to photo.

6.      Repeat step 5 to fill in the leaves with the green markers and the water brush.  Lay aside to dry completely.

7.      Adhere pieces of the black fiber ribbon on the front of the black and white cardstock using the Diamond Glaze.  See photo for placement.  These two pieces will be cut to 5½” inches long.  Leave enough room to add a piece of the gold crochet thread 5½” inches long between the black ribbon pieces.  For the vertical portion of the card cut the ribbon and the crochet thread to 4¼” inches long.  Glue as before.

8.      With the gold pen draw squiggles about ½” on each side of the black cardstock.  This creates a border to add the stamped white cardstock.  Center the black cardstock using the Zig glue over the ribbon on the card front.  Glue the piece of torn vellum to the upper left corner of the black cardstock. See photo.

9.      Add to the stamped piece of white cardstock simple lines and dots with the gold pen.  See photo for suggestions.

10.  The gold pen is now used to create lines in each petal of the flowers and the leaves.  Refer to photo for placement.  After the gold pen has dried completely add small amounts of black ink to each flower petal over the gold pen.  Glue the white stamped cardstock in the center of the black cardstock and over the vellum.

11.  To create the bow make small loops with the black ribbon and the crochet thread. Tie in the middle with a piece of the gold thread.  Glue to card front using the Diamond Glaze.
