Celebrate LIBERTY! By: Penny Yoder
1. Cut the white cardstock in half so you have two 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" pieces. Fold one piece in half for your basic card. Use the Prussian Blue ink pad along all the edges to give the card a little color. Set aside. 2. Cut the Real Red cardstock: 5" x 3 3/4" and the Die Cuts With a View: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". 3. Adhere Die Cuts With a View to the Real Red cardstock. Next, adhere this piece off center onto the lower right corner of your white card.
4. Cut a piece of white cardstock 2 1/2" x 3 1/4". Using the Burnt Umber ink pad, stamp the HIT soldier. Trim off the white to make a size 2 1/8" x 2 3/4". 5. Cut a piece of the Real Red cardstock 2 5/8" x 3 1/4" and a piece of the Brilliant Blue cardstock 2 3/8" x 3". 6. Adhere the stamped Soldier to the Real Red cardstock and then adhere this to the Brilliant Blue cardstock. Adhere this piece to the card, off center onto the upper left corner. See photo for placement.
7.
Cut a piece of white cardstock 1 1/4" x 2 3/8". With the Brilliant Blue
marker, color the top half of the "Liberty" stamped image with the stars. With
the Real Red marker, color the bottom half of the stamp image with the stripes.
"Huff" (or breathe) your hot breath over the stamp, and then stamp on the white
cardstock. Trim this to: 7/8" x 2 3/8". Adhere this piece to the Real Red
cardstock and then to the Brilliant Blue cardstock. Adhere at an angle. If you would like to print this technique including a near-full size image of the layout, click here.
