Drifting Card
Hearts in Touch Designer Challenge

This technique was inspired by the nostalgic Drifting Song rubber stamp produced by Hearts in Touch.  The image and accent layers seem to be drifting on the surface of the card.

 
Supplies:
Drifting Song Rubber Stamp (Hearts in Touch)
Pueblo Pigment Ink (The Angel Company)
Close To Cocoa Dye Ink (Stampin’ Up!)
5Ό”x 8½” Brown Cardstock
3”x2½” Brown Cardstock
2 7/8” x 2 5/16” White Cardstock
3” x 4 Ύ” Old Newspaper Paper (K & Company)
4” x 3 ½” Dot Patterned Paper (K & Company)
Strip of Dot Patterned Paper to use for punched holes
9” Mauve with White Ribbon (Making Memories)
Mauve Chalk
Two Brass Photo Turns
Three Brass Eyelets
½” hole punch
Adhesive (Tombow)
Chalk applicator


Directions
:

1.      Fold and score brown cardstock in half.

2.      Stamp Drifting Song image using Pueblo Ink on white cardstock.

3.      Ink the edges of the white cardstock using both Pueblo ink and Cocoa ink.

4.      Ink the edges of the patterned paper using Cocoa ink.

5.      Make Rosy Cheeks with Chalk Applicator and Mauve chalk.

6.      Adhere Stamped Image to brown cardstock.

7.      Adhere Old newspaper Paper to Card at an angle as shown.

8.      Adhere Stamped image (with brown cardstock) to Dot paper as shown.

9.      Attach eyelets in the lower left corner of the Dot paper as shown.

10.  Tie one 3” mauve ribbon through each eyelet and trim.

11.  Attach the metal photo turns as shown.

12.  Adhere Dot patterned paper with image to card as shown.

13.  Punch 5 different colored circles from the Dot patterned paper and adhere to both bottom and upper right of card as shown.
