Supplies
•
Four emery nail filing
boards 4 ½" long
•
One faux
rhinestone gem (Darice)
•
One 6"
piece of silver ribbon (Offray)
•
Winter
White acrylic paint (Folk Art by Plaid)
•
One
Toothpick
•
Dark blue
cardstock; cut to size 11” x 7" folded to 5½” x 7”
•
One 5 ¾”
by 7 ¼” white envelope
•
White
Glitter (Darice) these are large flakes
•
Metal
ruler
•
Scissors
•
6" piece
of 22 gauge floral wire
•
Clear
drying glue (Modpodge)
Instructions:
1. Begin by
cutting two Emory boards in half vertically. (See picture II).
2. Then cut one of them into four individual pieces 1 ½ "long. Cut the other
into 3 pieces 2 ¼ " long, which will leave one piece that you will cut in half
for the arms.
3. Cut another Emery board in half horizontally and cut off ½ ". Glue the two
pieces on to the remaining Emory board to form the shape of a cross.
4. Spread Modpodge glue over all the pieces and sprinkle with Darice
glitter.
5. To assemble the pieces, start with the four pieces for the wings and glue
them in place. Take the three long pieces for the dress and glue them on top
of the cross form (see picture). Glue the faux rhinestone in place for the head
and tie a silver ribbon around the angel snowflake.
6. Cut off one end of the toothpick so it is round and dip it into the folk
art winter white paint and make the star symbols on the dark card stock. Use
the round end for the dots and the pointed end for the lines around the
dots.
7. Cut or punch two small holes in the cardstock the width of the angel
snowflake and thread a piece of 22-gauge wire through to secure ornament to
the card.
