•  Sage Green inkpad (Designer ink)
•  English Rose inkpad (Designer ink)
•  White Craft ink (Stampin’ Up!)
•  Sage Green cardstock
•  Rose cardstock
•  Chocolate Brown cardstock
•  Cold Press watercolor paper
•  Watercolor crayons (Lyra)
        Red
        Green
•  Pearl-ex (Jacquard)
        Flamingo
        Spring Green
        Duo Green Yellow
•  Water
•  Paintbrush
•  Acrylic Block
•  1/8” brown/white polka dot ribbon
•  Die cut for tags (Sizzix)
•  Sizzix Sidekick
•  Monoadhesive (Tombow)
•  Sharp scissors
•  Fiskars 12” trimmer

Directions

1.    Cut sage green cardstock to size 5½” x 11” and fold in half. Randomlystamp rose image from Rose collage in blue sage ink. Set aside.

2.    Cut Rose cardstock to 5½“ x 4Ό.“ Then cut on the diagonal from corner to corner creating a triangle.  Randomly stamp rose image with English Rose ink; attach to sage green card with mono adhesive.

3.    Cut tag from Chocolate Brown scrap with die-cut and Sidekick. Stamp sentiment on tag using craft white ink. Cut a 2” length of ribbon and attach to tag. Set aside.

4.    To prepare the watercolor with glitz solution, scrape off shavings from the watercolor crayon colors of your choice. Moisten with a few drops of water and mix with a toothpick until you have a smooth liquid. Add a tiny bit of desired Pearl-ex color for a beautiful shimmer. If it becomes too thick add more water until it becomes a paint consistency.  I used two different color combinations:  (a) Green watercolor crayon with Spring Green Pearl-ex, and (b) Green–Yellow Pearl-ex and Red watercolor crayon with Flamingo Pearl-ex. (I only have the basic watercolor crayons-set of 12, so if you have a larger set you can come up with unlimited combinations!)

5.    Paint the mixture directly on the rubber of your stamp. It will stamp about 8 generations before needing to paint on more ink, although you may need to add a little water with your paintbrush after 4 generations. I have attached a picture of the 8 generations images, each one slightly less intense than the last.

6.    Cut one of the images out using a sharp scissors leaving about a 1/8” boarder around image. Mount on chocolate card stock measuring 4” x 3.” Mount to right side of the card and attach tag to the left side.

7.    The shimmer does not show well in the scan but the watercolor image has that wonderful pearl-ex sheen to it.
