Christmas CD Case By
Cindy Seabright It won’t be long before the carolers are out and sing the Christmas favorites that we all love to hear this time of year! This CD Tin makes a very special gift and a nice way to store your Holiday music. Have fun, and pop some Christmas tunes in to get you into the mood!!! Supplies • Fancy Holiday
Greeting (Lasting Impressions with Panache) Instructions: 1. Lightly sand CD Case with fine sandpaper. Apply two coats of gesso, sanding lightly between coats.
2.
Paint top with Aleen’s Hunter Green, using a soft #3 or #4 flat brush. 3. While drying, cut red cardstock with decorative scissors leaving a wide enough border for the green to show. Apply gold leafing on the edge of the cover. 4. Stamp “Happy Holiday” on the red cardstock using VersaMark. 5. I used the inside cover of a 7 Gypsy Jewelry pkg. to show very small writing. You may use anything that has very small writing on it. A music sheet with Christmas Carols would be nice. Take a little Hunter Green and swipe it randomly over the piece. 6. Glue Santa picture on large tag. Using your Gold Leafing pen, go around the edges of the Tag, paper with writing on it and the red cardstock. 7. Punch tag with eyelet punch and insert red eyelet, thread decorative green ribbon through it. 8. Gold leaf the edge of tin. 9. Glue paper with writing on it at an angle and then the tag. 10. Tie Ribbon in decorative bow. 11. Prep the top of CD as the tin with the gesso. **Be VERY careful not to get on back of CD! 12. Using stamps and VersaMark, stamp red paper cut to fit CD. 13. Cut a decorative pattern around CD with decorative scissors. 14. If you have access to burn a CD, you may make a favorite mix of Holiday tunes or purchase on from the store. 15. Using your red felt, line the inside of the Tin and Gold leaf the bottom around the edges! Happy Holidays! Viola! You're done! If you would like to print this technique, click here.
