Instructions:

For the Shaving Cream technique:

  1. Spray shaving cream into a shallow pan.
  2. Squeeze 2-4 drops of each ink pad refill color that you plan to use.  I suggest using 2 or 3 colors.
  3. Swirl around with a spatula and watch the colors start to swirl. Don’t over mix, which causes the colors to become one color. Just allow the colors to softly swirl into the white parts of the shaving cream.
  4. Place cardstock face down into the mixed shaving cream, and press it into the shaving cream then peel it off of the shaving cream.
  5. Wipe off shaving cream with spatula or towels.
  6. Allow paper to completely dry for about 10 minutes, and then set it aside.

For the clay:

  1. Cut out a block of clay, approximately 1” x 1” x 1” x 1” cube and condition it by kneading it in your hands for a few minutes. Then, place inside the middle of a plastic bag and use the baker roller to spread out the clay.  It prevents the clay from catching on to the roller.
  2. Take clay out of the plastic bag carefully and lay out it out on a nonstick surface (i.e. plastic bag, wax paper).
  3. Carefully cut the piece of clay into a rectangular shape (approximately 3/4” x 2”), and set aside.
  4. Repeat steps 1-2 and now cut the clay with a square cookie cutter (approximately 1”x 1”) and set aside.
  5. Carefully pick up the rectangular shaped clay that you just cut and place on a nonstick surface.  Ink up the Alpha Tiles stamps with the Versamark pad and stamp in the clay.  Remove stamp from the clay carefully.
  6. Gently pick the square shaped clay that you just cut and place it on a nonstick surface.  Ink up the Victorian Border stamp with the Versamark pad and stamp in the clay.  Remove stamp from the clay with care.
  7. Dip your stipple brush into the Pearl Ex Antique Silver jar and lightly brush the stipple brush on the clay.  Keep adding Pearl Ex on the clay until the clay pieces are completely silver.  Use a barbeque skewer to add holes to the two sides of the clay pieces Set pieces aside.
  8. Preheat your toaster oven to 275 degrees.
  9. Position the clay pieces on a piece of foil and place them in the oven.  Approximate baking time is 40-50 minutes.  Baking times may vary depending on oven type.
  10.  After the clay items finish baking, take them out and allow them to cool.  Spray with Krylon Sealer Clear Matte to seal the clay and Pearl Ex.

For the scrapbook page:

  1. Attach ribbon to both pieces of the white cardstocks.
  2. Using the Sizzix Traditional Combo Tags die, cut two medium size tags (2nd largest tag on the die) from the scraps of the shaving cream cardstock.  With scissors, cut a little from the top of the tag to make into a shipping tag. Using a square punch,  punch from the scraps of the shaving cream cardstock as well.
  3. Ink Victorian Border stamp with the Versamark pad and stamp on the two the tags.
  4. Sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder on the tags, shake off excess, and return the excess powder to the jar.
  5. Using the Marvy Heat Tool, melt the embossing powder on the two tags.  Use tweezers to hold the tags so that they will not blow away. Then attach ribbon to the tags. For one of the tags attach a longer piece of ribbon.
  6. Crinkle two pieces of the pink cardstock from the Red Multistack cardstocks, approximate size: 1 Ύ” x 2” .  Attach to the 2 pieces white cardstock.
  7. Attach the tags to the crinkled squares using Scotch Double-Sided Foam.
  8. To make the journaling enclosure: Cut 2” x 4” piece of pink cardstock and fold in half.  Insert a 1 Ό” x 1 Ό” inch piece of white cardstock into the piece of pink cardstock that you cut.
  9. Attach the embossing square using the Scotch Foam Tape.
  10. Attach the journaling box enclosure to the white piece of cardstock.
  11. For the tag with the long ribbon, pull the strings over the journal box enclosure and tape to back of cardstock.
  12. For the clay, attach ribbon and secure clay pieces with Wonder Tape.
  13. Tie ribbon to the back of the cardstock.
  14. Attach the white cardstocks using the Wonder Tape to the 6” x 6” pink cardstocks.
  15.  Attach photo using Monoadhesive to a 2” x 2 Ύ” size of white cardstock.
