Expressive Dry Embossing!!!

By Anne Case
Scrampin' Love Bug
Beginning Scramping Team Designer

This technique creates dry embossed lines, without the need for a light box!

Supplies:

•  Scarecrow Party stamp set (Close to my Heart)
•  Story time numbers stamp set (Close to my Heart)
•  Acrylic blocks (Close to my Heart)
•  Colonial White, Autumn Terracotta, Olive, Pansy Purple cardstock (Close to my Heart)
•  Autumn Terracotta, Pansy Purple, Black, Olive inks (Close to my Heart)
•  Natural hemp (Close to my Heart)
•  Autumn Terracotta photo clip and brad (Close to my Heart)
•  Empressor Guide and Stylus (Close to my Heart)
•  Sandpaper
•  Adhesive (Close to my Heart)
•  Memory Book Glue Dots (Glue Dots International- Close to my Heart)

Instructions:

1.    Using a 12”x12” piece of Colonial White card stock as your base, randomly stamp the moon, large star, small star strip, and cat images all over the page.  Rub over this page in direct to paper fashion with the Autumn Terracotta pad.

2.    Using the Empressor Guide and stylus tool, randomly create lines all over the Pansy Purple cardstock, which is cut to 5½” x 12”.  Sand all over so lines appear to be white raised lines.  Adhere this with adhesive to the bottom of the Colonial White sheet of stamped cardstock.

3.    Cut a piece of Olive cardstock 1¼” x 12” and sand lightly.  Adhere to upper part of Pansy Purple cardstock with adhesive approximately ¾” from top edge.

4.    Cut three tags from Autumn Terracotta, each measuring 9” x3½”, and tear the bottom of each one at an angle. Lightly sand each tag.

5.    Adhere the tags with adhesive to the layout measuring 1¼” from the top and ¼” from either side evenly spacing each tag.

6.    Cut three pieces of Natural hemp, tie each in a bow and adhere to each tag with a Memory Book Glue Dot.

7.    Cut a piece of Colonial White cardstock to 1¼” x 5 ¼”. Tear one edge and rub Autumn Terracotta all over.  Adhere this to the lower right side of the layout, at an angle.  Stamp the word Halloween and the year in black.

8.    Attach the photo clip to the upper right corner of the Halloween piece.
