1.    Print photos on photo paper from your digital images in black and white or sepia tones. Trim to desired size.

2.    Lightly sand around photo using different grades of sandpaper.

3.    Using pieces of a cosmetic sponge, pick up ink from inkpad and lightly tap color onto photo. Do not over work or you will smear the photo. Add antique linen to any white areas to age the photo and vintage photo around edge.

These are some optional things to do to age your photo.

a)    Moisten a finger and press it against a corner of the photo to leave a fingerprint.

b)    Dog-ear corner of a photo.

c)     Drip a few drops of water on the photo.

d)    Tear edge of photo.

Page instructions:

1.    Make Distress leather paper using Distress Weather Wood and Firebrick ink (see directions here). Let dry.

2.    Distress photos as described above. Mount photos on black cardstock.

3.    Crumple up tags and run antique linen inkpad over them.

4.    Tear edge of tag and paint with walnut stain reinker.

5.    Stamp word in antique linen. Write journaling on tags in brown ink pen.

6.    In a spray bottle, mix water and antique linen and mist any areas that need further aging. Dye strings by painting with Antique Linen ink.

7.    Cut verses from vellum and ink edge with Antique Linen using a sponge.

8.    Mount on background paper with brads, eyelets and mounting tape.
