INSTRUCTIONS:
1.
Flatten the Premo Translucent clay using either the clear acrylic brayer
of the pasta machine to a 1/8” thickness.
2.
Trace around the tag shape with the stylus and cut the tags out with
xacto knife. There are several sizes of tags on the template so you can
experiment with them.
3.
Ink up the stamps you have chosen from the Phenomenal Woman set with the
Violet Ink for the large tag. Also, ink up words from the Dance with Your
Spirit set to use around the images you are using. The medium and small tags
are stamped with the Art Print Brown Ink. Place the clay on the non-stick
cooking sheet.
4.
Bake the clay a 275-degree oven for 30 minutes. You can let the baked
clay sit awhile in the oven and it becomes very solid. Remove from the oven and
let cool for 30 minutes.
5.
Color with watercolor Prismacolor pencils on the tags with a moistened
colored pencil. Dip the pencil in a little bit of water and apply to the tag.
If you prefer, you can color it with a dry pencil and use the fine tip brushes
and water to blend out the color. Let the images dry.
6.
Cover the entire surface of the tag with the clear embossing pad and then
sprinkle on the clear embossing powder. Emboss the tags using the heat gun.
Repeat the embossing process 2 more times. The tags should have a glass-like
appearance. The large tag was embossed with the sparkle powder once and the 2
more applications of the clear powder and embossing with the heat gun.
7.
Tie the gold cord on the large tag. You can hang this large tag in a
spot where the light will show through it. This is your faux stained glass.
IDEAS FOR POLY CLAY
TAC EMBELLISHMENTS
Use the medium tag on a
card you have made with the other images from the Phenomenal Woman set. The
small tag would make a nice pendant for a necklace with little shrink plastic
charms made from this set and charms from the words.
There is so much you can
do with the poly tags. Experiment, Create and Have Fun!
