Instructions
1.
Heat a
section of the junk CD with your heat gun for approximately 30 seconds
moving the gun back and forth over the CD from center to edge. Heating the CD
will allow you to cut the CD without splintering.
2.
Cut the CD,
where you just heated it, from edge to center using sharp, medium weight
scissors.
3.
Repeat steps
1 & 2 to complete one section of the soon to be pin.
4.
Make a
second section by repeating the above steps.
5.
Heat the old
center section of the CD on each of the pieces and trim it off.
6.
Cut a
portion of the Wonder Sheet larger than the pieces of the cut CD.
7.
Peel off the
backing of the Wonder Sheet and adhere to the pieces of scrap white card stock
(card stock should also be larger than the CD pieces).
8.
Peel off the
remaining backing from the Wonder Sheet and place the CD pieces onto the sticky
white card stock, covering the CD pieces completely.
9.
Trim off all
the excess card stock from the CD pieces.
10.
Randomly
stamp the largest piece of the CD piece with the Eclectic Images stamp in
charcoal gray.
11.
Stamp the
buttermoth near one of the sides of the smaller CD piece, then add the Eclectic
Border around the remaining edges, with your India Black Dye Ink.
12.
Sponge the
larger piece of CD with the lightest pink first, and then add highlights of the
darker pink. Sponge a couple of spots with the lightest blue.
13.
Sponge over
the buttermoth with the Sunshine yellow ink, adding the lightest blue to the
remaining white sections of the CD piece, highlighting the edges with the
darkest blue.
14.
Color in the
buttermoth and border images with markers.
15.
Stamp the
Journal Lines over the gray images of the larger CD piece with Versamark Ink.
Dust with gold embossing powder and heat until shiny.
16.
Glue the two
CD pieces together using a dab of Goop glue. Allow to set.
17.
Add dots of
Stickles to the surrounding area of the buttermoth image.
18.
Fill in the
buttermoth with Crystal Lacquer.
19.
Add a drop
of Crystal Lacquer to the center of all the eclectic circles and drop a crystal
gem in the center of the lacquer to act as glue.
20.
Let dry over
night.
21.
Glue the pin
finding to the back of the CDs using Goop glue. Allow glue to set approximately
3 hours before wearing the pin.
