Scrapbook Painting Pizzazz ll ~ a Painted Background

Supplies:

•  Scrapbook Paint colors- Manila, Espresso (Memory Makers)
•  Close to cocoa reinker- (Stampin’ Up!)
•  Black Classic ink pad (Stampin’ Up!)
•  Craft Card Stock- (Stampin’ Up!)
•  Close to cocoa card stock (Stampin’  Up!)
•  Yukon stamp set (Stampin’ Up!)
•  In the wild stamp set(Stampin’ Up!)
•  Antique Alphabet ( Stampin’ Up!)
•  Foam Brush 1”
•  Old tooth brush
•  12” Paper cutter (Friskers)
•  Corner rounder (Creative Memories)
•  Mono Adhesive (Tombow)
•  Natural hemp coed ( Stampin ‘Up!)
•  ¼” hand held punch (Fiskars)
•  Book Binding Glue
•  Composition Notebook (Wal-Mart) 

Instructions:

1. Start with 8 ½” x 11” piece of Kraft card stock.  Cut to fit the cover of composition note book approximately 7 ¾”x 9 ¾”.  I left the black binding showing as it matched my color theme; you could cover it if you wish.  

2. Pour a little puddle of Espresso paint the size of a quarter into a paint container or palette. Add 1-2 drops of Manila paint.  Use a 1” foam brush and paint vertically across card stock for a random coloring look.  Take another paint container and add a generous amount of Close to Cocoa Reinker.  Paint over the cover with a tooth brush, which will produce a distressed look. There are no mistakes here; just do it!  

4. When dry to touch, punch two corners with the corner rounder.  See photo for guide.  Turn over book cover and apply book binding glue on the back.   Glue the prepared cardstock to the cover of the composition book matching up rounded corners.  Set aside. 

5. Cut 2 pieces Kraft cardstock to 2 ½ “x 3 ½.”  Stamp the Bear image in black ink on one and Deer image in black ink on the other.  Refer to photo for placement.  Cut Close to Cocoa card stock to 3” x 4.”  Mount stamped images onto the Close to Cocoa card stock with Mono Adhesive.  Attach to the front of the book. 

6. For the Name tag, cut Close to Cocoa to 6 ¾” x 2 ¼.”  Cut Kraft Card stock to 1 ¾” x 6 ¼.”  Stamp on the top and bottom of the Kraft card stock with coyote on top and wolf on the bottom in black ink.  Refer to photo for placement.   

7. Line up the letters for the name and stamp in black ink.   Punch a hole at the top with a ¼” punch.  Cut hemp cord to 4” and attach to top of name tag. Using Mono Adhesive, attach this section to front of book.
