Instructions

  1. Roll out the natural air-dry clay to about 1/8” thickness using the acrylic roller.

  1. Using the circle clay cutters, cut 4 large circles and 3 medium size circles.  Use a skewer to poke holes in the tops of the 3 medium size circles so that they resemble a metal circle tag.

  1. Put the clay pieces in a disposable box and take them outside.  Shake the can of Make It Suede! Spray paint for about 2 minutes and then spray the clay pieces to coat.

  1. Let the pieces dry for about 10 minutes.  The spray paint will dry to the touch in 30 minutes but don’t wait that long!

  1. Ink up the alphabet stamps with burnt umber ink and press into the wet spray painted clay.  Since the clay hasn’t dried yet you will make an impression into the clay and into the spray paint, it should look like burnt leather!

  1. Follow the layout sketch from Club Scrap’s Time and Space kit to create the layout.

  1. Cut 2 pieces of cream patterned cardstock to 8”x8” and matte with brown cardstock.  Cut 2 pieces of mauve patterned cardstock to 4”x12” and arrange on ivory background paper as shown in the sketch.  Cut a vertical focal picture to 4”x5” and matte.  Cut two accent photos to 2”x2”.  Arrange these three pictures on one of the 8”x8” matted pieces as shown in the sketch.

  1. For the right side of the layout you’ll need a 4”x6” horizontal photo and two 2.75”x4” vertical pictures.  Matte all three with mauve cardstock and arrange on the other 8”x8” piece of matted cream cardstock.

  1. Lay the 8”x8” pieces of cardstock on the 12x12 ivory background paper.  Add the faux leather title and embellishments as shown.
