Parchment Fairy Bookmarker

By ToniAnn "TA" Carbone
Paper Arts & Crafts D
esigner

I would personally like to thank Gail Reed from Parchment Paperlace in Western Australia for designing this bookmarker especially so I could share it on Rubber Road Adventures.  Gail has been designing and creating Parchment Art for about 10 years.  Gail is a self taught parchment designer and says that she is still learning.  With this art medium, learning is a continuous art process as there is no end to this art form.  Please feel free to sample Gail's website at http://www.parchmentpaperlace.com.au/  Her gallery, pattern packs, and other supplies she has to offer are fabulous.

The white vellum was donated by Cindy's Crafts.

The PCA - ParchCraft Australia Tools can be seen and purchased on my website - for USA and Canada Only.  All other countries can visit either Gail's website above or visit ParchCraft Australia's website.

I want to thank everyone who has helped me with this tutorial and for making my dreams come true in this art.

Hugs,

TA

Watercolor Pencils
Gel Pen
Black 005 Zig Memory Marker

Scotch Double Sided Tape (3M)

Paper Tape

Instructions:

1.                Attach the pattern to the vellum with paper tape. (See PDF for pattern.)

2.                Using color of your choice, outline the bookmarker and dots in between the x's with a gel pen.

3.                Outline the fairy with the black marker.

4.                Remove pattern from vellum.

5.                Using the PCA Medium Embosser, emboss the reverse side of the vellum.  (The colored side should be facing down).

6.                Using the PCA Small Embosser, emboss the reverse side on the Fairy and the dots.

7.                Turn vellum face up, color Fairy with your choice of watercolor pencils.

8.                Using the PCA Easy Cross tool, cut x's according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

9.                With the PCA Stamp Edge tool, go around the complete bookmarker to cut it away from the vellum.  This tool was designed to remove the excess paper from your border and it leaves a PERFECT serrated stamp like effect!
