Instructions

1.  Place the Victorian Border stamp of choice on the 1" x 7" acrylic block.  Ink up stamp with Versamark ink and stamp repeatedly around the perimeter of the 8 1/2" square silver cardstock.  Sprinkle silver embossing powder over the wet stamped images and melt with heat tool.

2.  Place the square Grand Medallion stamp on the 3" x 3" acrylic block.  Ink up stamp with Versamark and stamp four times in the center of the same 8 1/2" square silver cardstock.  Pour on silver embossing powder, shake off excess, and melt with heat tool.

3.  Paint white acrylic paint over entire embossed cardstock.  Let dry for a few minutes before putting on the second coat.  It may need a third coat depending on the coverage.  You want the embossed images to be pretty well covered.

4.  When the last coat is done, let dry for about 10 minutes.  You don't want the paint to get too hard for the next step.

5. After the paint is dry to the touch, take a paper towel or cloth and rub (with some pressure) over the embossed areas.  Take as little or as much paint off as desired.  You want some silver coming through the paint to age the piece.

6.  From the center, cut out a 5 1/4" x 6 1/2" piece using a craft knife leaving a frame for a photo.  This will take out the four medallions that you stamped earlier.  Cut those medallions into four, 2 1/4" squares and tape onto the corners of your cut out frame as shown in photo.  If there are any areas that need to be roughed up around the frame, take the sandpaper and lightly rub off any excess paint being careful not to sand off any of the embossing.

7.  Tape photo to the center of the 9" x 9" piece of black cardstock.  Then center the embossed frame over photo and tape down.  The photo should have about a 1/8" mat of the black cardstock showing.  See photo for reference.

8.  Adhere the vellum to the 12" x 12" black cardstock.  Place the photo and frame somewhere in the center of the full page.

9.  Center a 3" long bookplate on the bottom of the page and attach using decorative brads.  Place the two smaller 1 3/4" bookplates on the top of the page as shown in photo and attach using decorative brads.

10.  Tape down the photo and frame to the full 12" x 12" page centering based on the bookplate placement.

11.  Tie a bow in the center of the ribbon and adhere the bow to the page as shown in photo using glue or sticky dots.  Lay the tails of the ribbon around the photo attaching in a few places to keep the shape of the ribbon loose.

 12.    Print out names on white cardstock from computer to fit inside the bookplates.  Cut to size and slide behind the bookplates.
