Brayered Backgrounds I ~ Quick and Elegant

Supplies for Card 1 - Brayered Resist

Charming Gardeners Stamp Set (TAC)
Breeze Kaleidacolor (Tsukineko –TAC)
Versamark Ink Pad (Tsukineko –TAC)
Brayer with rubber attachment (Speedball-TAC)
Glossy white card stock
Matte natural white card stock
Blue/green card stock
Bright green card stock
White ¼” Grosgrain ribbon (Offray)
Gold lace ribbon (Offray)
Decorative button
Monoadhesive (Tombow)
Glue Dots (Glue Dots Enterprises)
Class A’ Peels Sticker (Mark Enterprises)
Acrylic handle for unmounted stamp (TAC)
 

Instructions for Card 1:

1. Cut blue green card stock to 51/2” x 4 ¼”.

2. Cut Natural card stock to 5¼” x 4”.

3. Cut glossy white card stock to 5” x 3 ¾”.

4. Attach white card stock to blue green card stock with mono adhesive. Set aside.

5. Ink the Charming Gardener’s landscape stamp with versa mark and stamp on glossy card stock.

6. Ink up brayer with breeze Kaleidacolor ink.

7. Brayer over glossy card stock horizontally and repeat this until the desired color intensity is reached. The image will pop out and appear like a ghost image.

8. Cut white grosgrain and gold lace ribbon to 5 ½”.   Layer lace ribbon on top of white and adhere to glossy card stock in the back with Monoadhesive. Attach decorative button on top of ribbon.

9. Choose any Class A’ Peels sticker and adhere to bright green card stock the same size as sticker.  Adhere to card with Monoadhesive.

10. Attach embellished glossy cardstock to the white natural card stock.

 

Supplies for card #2 - Kaleidacolor scenery card

Charming Gardeners Stamp Set (TAC)
Breeze kaleidacolor Ink Pad (Tsukineko -TAC)
Noir Black Palette Ink Pad (Stewart Superior –TAC)
Black Lightening Brilliance (Tsukineko -TAC)
Versamark Ink Pad (Tsukineko -TAC)
Green/Yellow Pearl Ex Powder (Jacquard- TAC)
Gold ¼” Metallic Ribbon (Offray)
Vellum sentiment –Quote stacks (Die Cut with a View-resized for card)
Sizzix personal die cutting system (Sizzix-TAC)
Rose Die Cut (Sizzix)
Brayer with rubber attachment (Speedball-TAC)
Button embellishment
Monoadhesive (Tombow)
Glue dots (Glue dots enterprises)
Vellum tape (3M)
Gold metallic card stock
Black card stock
Glossy white card stock
Acrylic handle for unmounted stamp (TAC)

Instructions for card #2:

1. Cut gold metallic card stock to 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.

2. Cut black card stock to 5 ¼” x 4”.

3. Cut glossy card stock to 5” x 3 ¾”.

4. Attach black card stock to gold metallic cad stock and set aside.

5. Ink up brayer the same as above, brayer glossy card stock horizontally      until the desired intensity of color is achieved.

6. Ink up the landscape stamp with the Noir Black Ink.

7. Stamp on the glossy card stock set aside.

8. Cut rose die out of black card stock with Sizzix personal die cutter.

9. Ink die cut well with Versamark Ink Pad.

10. Apply pearl ex powder with a brush completely covering the rose.    Spray with fixative and set aside to dry.

11. Cut gold metallic ribbon 5 ½” and attach to the lower 1/3 of the glossy card stock with Monoadhesive.

12. Attach to black and gold layered card stock.

13. Tear vellum sentiment and ink the raw edge with Lightening Black Ink.

14. Attach to front of card with vellum tape.

15. Attach rose with Monoadhesive in upper left corner.

16. Attach decorative button with glue dots.

 

Magic Mesh Brayered Tag
Supplies:

Vine stamp (TAC)
Silky Obsidian Palette Metallic Ink (Stewart Superior)
Copper Penny Palette Metallic Ink (Stewart Superior)
Style stones- Asian (Clear Snap – TAC)
Sizzix large tag die cut (Sizzix)
Magic Matter (Puzzle Mates)
Brayer with foam attachment (Speed ball-TAC)
Crystal lacquer-Sakura (TAC)
Rust colored card stock
Pewter blue card stock
Dry wall tape-poor man’s magic mesh (Home Depot)
Fantastix Coloring Tool (Tsukineko- TAC)
Copper cord
Black fiber
Acrylic handle for unmounted stamp (TAC)

Instructions for tag:

1. Cut Tag with die cut from rust colored card stock.

2. Cut dry wall tape and adhere to center of tag from top to bottom.

3. Ink up sponge brayer with Copper Penny Ink and brayer over the dry wall tape vertically.  Remove dry wall tape, which will leave a design on the tag.

4. Ink up the Vine stamp with Silky Obsidian ink and stamp onto tag centering the image.

5. Cut inked drywall tape 1 ¼” x 2 ½” and apply to bottom of card at an angle.

6. Ink Style Stone directly over design with Copper Penny ink and use Fantastix to use the Obsidian ink in-between the design to give it a slightly aged look.  Allow to dry.

7. Ink the sides of the Style Stone with the Copper Penny Ink.

8. Attach tag to the pewter blue card stock.

9. Draw around it with a 1/8” Magic Matter and cut out.

10. Attach fibers and fray out cord if desired.

11. Attach Style Stone with crystal lacquer.

12 Use to embellish card or scrapbook page.
