Instructions:

  1. Cut all of your cardstock and printed paper in the sizes mentioned above.
  2. Stamp Merry Christmas from the Dot Words set in black ink on the 1 ¼”x2” piece of Tan cardstock.
  3. Stamp the trees from the Noel set with Guadalupe ink and Yellow Tombow marker on the 2 1 ¾”x2” pieces of tan cardstock.  When preparing the image, apply Guadalupe Chalk Ink only to the tree and use the yellow marker on the star in a direct to rubber approach.  Stamp onto the cardstock.  If the star is not dark enough, color it in with the Yellow Tombow marker to bring out the color more.
  4. Stamp the words joy and peace from the Tag Tidbits set in Black Archival Dye Ink onto the ½”x1 ¾” red cardstock.
  5. Stamp the year 2004 from the Circle Alphabet set in Black Archival Dye Ink onto the ½”x2” tan cardstock.
  6. OPTIONAL:  Stamp names on the printed paper that is measured 7/8”x4”.
  7. Mount your picture onto the green 3 ½”x5” piece of cardstock.  Adhere it to the top left corner of your 8’x8’ piece of cardstock.
  8. Mount the 2 ½”x7 ¾” piece of printed paper across the bottom section of the 8”x8’ cardstock.  Make sure it is centered.
  9. To layer the small pieces on the side of the picture without having to measure and be precise (I hate that part); I took both pieces of green ½”x4” pieces of cardstock and laid them at the top and bottom sides of the picture making sure they were centered.  I then did the same with the printed pieces and last put the tan piece with the Merry Christmas centering it between the printed pieces.   You can lay these down first and make sure you have them the way you want before you adhere them or be brave and adhere as you go.
  10. Layer the stamped Christmas trees onto the red pieces of cardstock that was cut 2”x2 ¼”.  Mount both of these on the sides of the printed piece of paper that is across the bottom of your layout.
  11. Layer the stamped 2004 piece of cardstock onto the green cardstock that was cut 2”x2 ¼”.  Make sure it is in the center of the green.  Take the stamped joy and peace that was stamped on red cardstock and center above and below the 2004.  Mount this centered between the trees.
  12. Adhere the primitive stars onto the green cardstock strips measuring ½”x4”.  Put three stars on each piece of green.
  13. You now have a Christmas layout that hopefully you have enjoyed putting together.
